1.0 Executive Summary

This project to show a collaborative initiative between local community volunteer teams, the Red Cross Society, and Senior Health Care Centers to implement a comprehensive, technology-enabled health and safety monitoring system for elderly residents, particularly those living alone or with limited mobility. The project utilizes advanced wearable devices equipped with GPS, real-time health metrics monitoring (heart rate, blood oxygen, temperature), fall detection, sleep monitoring, and medicine reminders. By leveraging the unique strengths of each partner, this program aims to enhance the safety, health outcomes, and independence of seniors while providing peace of mind to their families.

2.0 Introduction: The Need for Proactive Elderly Care

With a rapidly aging population, ensuring the well-being of seniors is a growing community priority. Key challenges include:

· Emergency Response Delays: Critical situations like falls or sudden illness often go unreported for hours.

· Managing Chronic Conditions: Regular monitoring of vital signs is crucial but often inconsistent.

· Social Isolation & Forgetfulness: Living alone can lead to missed medication, irregular routines, and lack of timely support.

 This project addresses these challenges and setup a unified, tech-supported care network for elderly.

3.0 The Technology: Integrated Health & Safety Wearable Device

The core of the project is a user-friendly, durable wearable device with the following features:

✅ GPS Location & Geo-Fencing: Provides real-time location tracking. Safe zones (e.g., home, care center) can be established. Alerts are triggered if the wearer wanders beyond a predefined area.

✅ Real-Time Health Monitoring:

✅ Health monitoring: Continuous tracking to detect realtime heart rate , blood pressure, Blood Oxygen(SpO2) and temperature data

✅ Automatic Fall Detection: Advanced sensors and algorithms detect hard falls. trigger the ambulance alarm, followed by a two-way voice call to check on the user.

✅ Sedentary reminder ,Sleep monitoring: The aim is to appropriately remind older adults to increase physical activity and understand their sleep duration.

✅ Medication Reminders: Customizable reminders for medicine schedules are set via a companion app. The device vibrates and displays alerts or audio reminder at designated times.

✅ Auto answer the call, not necessary to press the button to auto answer the call

✅ Take off /Removal alarm alert : if the user take off the device ,it push the notification to check on the user
